Good news everyone -- George Clooney is alive and well ... just like Jeff Goldblum and Natalie Portman. For some reason, some seriously messed up people at fakeawish.com dropped some evil rumors that Clooney was the latest star to croak this week ... and now, we've learned the fake stories have caused some serious concern within his circles.
TMZ spoke with Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, who told us he's been bombarded by frantic calls from legitimate media outlets and some of Clooney's friends who were genuinely shaken by reports of Clooney's death.
With the rash of actual celebrity deaths in the last few weeks, "death pranks" are at an all-time high -- but the people who are starting these terrible lies ... they're still the lowest of the low.

Farrah Fawcett - "Farrah's Story" [Part 1]
'Farrah's Story' draws nearly 9 million viewers

Farrah Fawcett proved she's still a major draw for TV audiences when her special, Farrah's Story, attracted 8.9 million viewers to NBC Friday night, according to a press release issued by the network. Although not the no. 1 network show for the evening (CBS's Numb3rs outdistanced Fawcett, with 9.6 million people watching the procedural drama's season finale), it was still NBC's highest-rated Friday night program in a year, excluding the Olympics. Farrah's Story, shot with Fawcett's own video camera, documents the Charlie's Angels vet's two-and-a-half-year fight with anal cancer.

Michael Jackson Dies
We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.
Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.
A source inside the hospital told us there was "absolute chaos" after Jackson arrrived. People who were with the singer were screaming, "You've got to save him! You've got to save him!"
We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.
La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Rihanna’s fans in UAE and Dubai are not happy right now, they just found out that Rihanna has cancelled her much-publicized and anticipated comeback concert that was scheduled to be held on May 28th.
According to According to sources close to the concert, Rihanna’s management contacted organizers to cancel the anticipated show last week, stating “it’s just not the right time for her”. However, upset fans say they wish Rihanna would reconsider returning to the stage.
But despite the setback, organizers in the region remain hopeful that they’ll be able to bring the Umbrella singer to the UAE in the future.

A drunken fan who terrified Britney Spears onstage Saturday night spent the rest of his evening behind bars - and later boasted about it on MySpace.
Kyle King, 20, was arrested after he tried to bust a move with the pop star during her encore performance of "Womanizer," TMZ.com reports.
A clearly shaken Spears screamed and frantically waved her arms as King approached her onstage at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Arena.
Shockingly - or not - the notorious lip-syncher's mic didn't pick up her cries for help as King was grabbed by a back-up dancer and escorted offstage.
King was arrested for breach of peace and booked for interfering with police. He was released Sunday morning on a $250 bond and is due in court on June 18.
The Orlando, Fla., native later posted video and a short story about the incident under the "About Me" section of his MySpace page, setting his mood to "amused."
Clearly, Britney was not.

Susan Boyle has become an overnight singing sensation – but that doesn't mean the golden-voiced star will win Britain's Got Talent, according to show judge Simon Cowell.
"I keep saying to everybody, she's got to win the next stage. It's [up to] her," he said Friday in Los Angeles while promoting America's Got Talent. "She has four weeks to prepare for the biggest time of her life. She's got to sing better than she's ever sung before. But it could all go horribly wrong now because there are so many distractions."
