Britney Spears gyrated and lipsynched her way through her Circus comeback tour which kicked off last night in New Orleans. We're glad to see that Britney is looking good and seems to be doing better. Click here for more pics from Britney Spears' comeback.
The pop princess has had a rough time in her personal life over the years including a public mental breakdown and custody battle over her kids.
What do you think about BritBrit's big comeback?
First Look at Britney Spears' Circus Tour Rehearsals Video
Britney Spears kicked off her first tour in five years on Tuesday, promoting her latest hit album "Circus" before an adoring hometown audience with jugglers, acrobats, rings of flame and lip syncing.
"Britney's my girl. I knew she'd be great," said Chris Peterson, 28, who drove to New Orleans from Pensacola, Florida, for the concert. "I've been a fan since I was 14."
The pop star, attempting a comeback after a high-profile meltdown, pulled out all the stops before a sell-out crowd of 16,400 to launch her much-anticipated world tour.
Spears, 27, became a worldwide phenomenon when she burst onto the music scene 10 years ago after breaking into show business on the "Mickey Mouse Club" television show.
But she has done only a handful of live concerts in recent years as her personal life careered out of control, including stints in psychiatric care, an ugly divorce, losing custody of her two sons, shaving her head and partying without panties.
Back on stage, Spears looked fit and dazzling dressed as a ringmaster as she performed more than a dozen songs in a parade of skimpy costumes.
The launch of her 44-concert tour, which heads to Britain in June, was heavy on spectacle and was met with wild applause and cheers.
The circus-themed production featured Spears strutting and gyrating through extravagant sets on three stages, surrounded by dancers, martial artists and performers who dropped from the rafters on fabric streamers and mechanical rings. source

HollyHoodUSA.TV - Motown legend Stevie Wonder whose music provided part of President Barack Obama's campaign soundtrack, will perform a concert Feb. 25 in the East Room of the White House.
The President and First Lady Michelle Obama will present Wonder with the second annual Gershwin Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Library of Congress.
Wonder last performed for the president at the mass free concert at the Lincoln Memorial on the Sunday before Inauguration Day in January, when he sang his song "Higher Ground" with Shakira and Usher.
Unlike that performance, the White House concert will feature Wonder with his own band.
The full concert will be broadcast the next night, Feb. 26, on PBS (Detroit Public Television, Channel 56) as part of the "In Performance at the White House" series.

A trial date has finally been set for Akon as he will report to Fishkill Justice Court on December 1st for endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. At a concert back in June of 2007 in New York, Akon allegedly threw a teenage fan offstage, resulting in a concussion. The singer faces up to a year and 15 days if convicted.. or should we say "Konvicted".
Akon has be givin the opportunity though to make a deal in the next 2 weeks in which even his lawyers think he should agree to. First it was dancing on a teenager at a show and now it's harming a teenager at a show. What's with all the teens? I guess another "Sorry, Blame it on Me" will be in the works. Until next time, this is King Drell signing out.

The SPICE GIRLS have disappointed scores of fans by announcing they will not be releasing a DVD recording of their comeback tour.
The group angered supporters across the globe after reneging on plans to extend their reunion tour to countries including Australia, China and South Africa earlier this year (08).
The Wannabe stars were due to play concerts in Cape Town, South Africa; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Beijing, China; and Sydney, Australia in February (08), but dates for the gigs were never set and the final leg of the tour was subsequently pulled due to "personal commitments".
Fans who were denied the chance to see their idols in concert had hoped they would be able to enjoy the show on DVD instead.
But the girlband have now ruled out the idea altogether. A post on their website reads: "Sadly, there will not be a DVD release of the 47-date tour, but the girls hope you were all left with some fantastic personal memories of the show."
The band played their final live date in Toronto, Canada, on 26 February (08).

Finally! Someone must have told Rihanna that's she's a little too big for her tacky dominatrix outfit!
The Umbrella singer opted for a raunchy, drag-queen 'bondage' theme for her world tour for some reason, and now Rihanna is jumping over to the other extreme by choosing a 'flower-girl' style.
Hmmmmm .... keep exploring, Rihanna, you'll find the right look eventually!

In light of the heavy news of Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora getting arrested and charged for drunk driving (with minors in the car -- dohhhhh!!!!), we thought it would be apt to bring back some humor into all things Bon Jovi.
And who's better for this comedic task than the adorable, controversial Triumph The Insult Dog. Seriously, this is some real funny stuff.
Woof!!!

Veteran hellraiser JACK NICHOLSON was once kicked out of a ROLLING STONES concert after he spearheaded a stage invasion.
The Shining star was ejected from the performance over fears he was trying to draw more attention to himself than the legendary musicians.
But Nicholson doesn't hold a grudge against the band, and now insists his stage invasion was "terrible behaviour".
He says, "I used to go to poor old Mick Jagger's concerts and try to be louder than the Stones.
"I got up on stage once and actually got thrown out. That was terrible behaviour."

An elegant venue for
an elegant woman, the Four Seasons Golf Club was hand-picked by Céline
Dion's production team for the venue of her up-and-coming concert in
Dubai.
Performing on
Wednesday, March 5, in front of more than 12,000 fans, organisers claim
to have pulled out all the stops in order to help the concert flow as
smoothly as possible.
A chartered flight
carrying the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning music prodigy's
international entourage of 150 people will soon be arriving in Dubai
including 21 professional stage performers, ready put on a dazzling
show to remember.
HOTTEST
Her amazing show has been choreographed and directed by the hottest director and choreographer in the world of pop music — Jamie King. A multiple Emmy Award and MTV VMA (Video Music Award) nominee, King has worked with the likes of stars from Madonna to Mariah Carey.
Preparations for the
show started six months ago and include the Canadian singer-song writer
bringing 20 tonnes of personal gear to Dubai.
The technical advisors
and sound engineers, which are part of her crew, will be accompanying
her from Amsterdam, and the sound provision will be installed through
equipment in the UAE.
The construction of the stage started on Wednesday last week and is expected to be completed on the day of the show.
FOOD
A luxurious 32,000 square metre food and beverage village will open at 4.30pm on the day. Food and beverage stalls will be lined up outdoors in each relevant ticket section offering deli gourmet sandwiches, burgers, hot-dogs and fries, as well as healthy salads and a selection of desserts.
For VIP guests, the
chic Blades Restaurant will serve as the pre-concert lounge. With its
terrace overlooking the stage, VIP guests can enjoy the option of
watching the concert from Blades or making their way down to join the
rest of the crowd.
FAMILY
From humble beginnings in a rural French Canadian home town, Dion has risen to international superstardom. She has been called the premier contemporary pop vocalist of the 1990s and has earned music industry accolades from around the world including Grammy Awards in the US, Juno and Felix Awards in Canada, and World Music Awards in Europe. The entire world has seen the singer transform from a gifted pre-adolescent to an international superstar.
Accompanying Dion on
her five-day trip to Dubai will be her husband Rene Angelil, 7-year-old
son Rene Charles, her mother and two sisters.
Don't miss it!
Tickets, priced Dh425
for silver access, Dh660 for gold access and Dh980 for platinum access,
are available online at www.showbizme.com or by calling
04-3662277.
Timings
Gates open at 4.30pm and people are being urged to arrive as early as possible to ensure the traffic is staggered as much as possible. Wrist bands will be issued so concert-goers MUST leave enough time to queue for this before the show begins. Celine Dion is expected to perform around 9.30pm.
The Venue
The Four Seasons Golf Club is a new course situated in Dubai Festival City and is accessible from Emirates Road, Shaikh Zayed Road and Business Bay Bridge.
With the biggest
concern being traffic, organsiers Kusasa have set up special measures
after more than eight meetings with the RTA to ensure free-flowing
traffic.
A spokesman said:
"Fans will be travelling from all over the region to watch her (Celine
Dion's) Taking Chances tour. We have been cautious to arrange smooth
running traffic. Around 5,800 cars will be able to park in the Festival
Cityunderground parking and in addition to this there is space for more
than 3,500 vehicles in the over-flow parking area.
"We have gone through
the effort to make arrangements with Dubai Police at the exit routes of
the venue, to ensure safety and smooth flowing of traffic. We want to
ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for concert-goers.
Radio 2 will be giving
drivers regular live updates of the traffic situation near the site and
signs will be plastered all around, guiding drivers to the site."
From the car parks:
Ushers will be guiding concert-goers from the parking area to the venue, which is approximately an eight to 10 minute walk. Shuttle services will be available from outside Marks & Spencer and Toys R Us, with 30 buses going to and from the venue continuously every two minutes.
