Good news everyone -- George Clooney is alive and well ... just like Jeff Goldblum and Natalie Portman. For some reason, some seriously messed up people at fakeawish.com dropped some evil rumors that Clooney was the latest star to croak this week ... and now, we've learned the fake stories have caused some serious concern within his circles.
TMZ spoke with Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, who told us he's been bombarded by frantic calls from legitimate media outlets and some of Clooney's friends who were genuinely shaken by reports of Clooney's death.
With the rash of actual celebrity deaths in the last few weeks, "death pranks" are at an all-time high -- but the people who are starting these terrible lies ... they're still the lowest of the low.

'Farrah's Story' draws nearly 9 million viewers

Farrah Fawcett proved she's still a major draw for TV audiences when her special, Farrah's Story, attracted 8.9 million viewers to NBC Friday night, according to a press release issued by the network. Although not the no. 1 network show for the evening (CBS's Numb3rs outdistanced Fawcett, with 9.6 million people watching the procedural drama's season finale), it was still NBC's highest-rated Friday night program in a year, excluding the Olympics. Farrah's Story, shot with Fawcett's own video camera, documents the Charlie's Angels vet's two-and-a-half-year fight with anal cancer.

Michael Jackson Dies
We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.
Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.
A source inside the hospital told us there was "absolute chaos" after Jackson arrrived. People who were with the singer were screaming, "You've got to save him! You've got to save him!"
We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.
La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Congratulations are in order to one of our favorite girls on the block Miley Cyrus!
Miley's new flick, Hannah Montana - Best of Both Worlds, will be out in theatres April 10th. The whole family was there, including Billy Ray and Miley's sisters.
You could tell that Miley was really excited to be able to walk the carpet for her first big screen flick as Miley. Of course the Disney star was smiling from ear to ear as she made her way down the line of press and fans that were awaiting her arrival on the red carpet for the premiere in Hollywood, but Miley made sure to try and give everyone the time of day. Miley's good friend Taylor Swift even showed up to the premiere too!
Miley must've been so proud to be at her very own big screen movie premiere. Again, congrats Miley!

HollyHoodUSA.TV - The surviving members of rap pioneers RUN-D.M.C. will break from tradition when they are inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday - they have refused to perform out of respect to murdered DJ Jam Master Jay.Remaining band mates Joseph 'Rev Run' Simmons and Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels will be honoured alongside stars including Metallica, Jeff Beck and Bobby Womack at the weekend ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio.
Simmons recently revealed he was leaving the decision whether or not to perform up to McDaniels - and the rapper has declared Run-D.M.C. will not be gracing the stage at the event because they want to keep their vow never to perform without their late pal, who was shot dead in 2002.
McDaniels tells MTV News, "For me, I tell people, 'Do you want to see me and Run running around without Jay?'
"They tell me I could get Grandmaster Flash (to fill in). But I can get any DJ in the world if I want. It wouldn't be right. I can't replace my drummer."
Instead, a video tribute will be compiled by Hall of Fame organizers to honor the group.
Jam Master Jay, real name Jason Mizell, was killed in a Queens, New York studio in 2002. His murder remains unsolved and is still being investigated by the New York Police Department.

The New York Daily News reports that yesterday (March 15) during the New York casting for the next cycle of America’s Next Top Model, a car broke down next to the line of the aspiring models and someone yelled, “It’s a bomb!”
The models, were all under 5' 7? (as per the theme of the cycle), flew into a panic, storming to get out of the vicinity,.(watch the video).

UPDATE: Rihanna To Testify On Chris’ Behalf
HollyHoodUSA.tv UPDATE: According to sources things are HEATING Up in the assault case against Chris Brown:
Rihanna has agreed to speak to the prosecutor’s on Chris’ behalf.” and if need be - admit to her part in the “incident.”
Another person close to the case says that Chris Brown and prosecutors are EXTREMELY close to a plea deal. Chris would plead “no contest” to misdemeanor domestic battery and receive NO JAIL TIME.

UPDATE: Rihanna and Chris reportedly reconciled this past weekend at Diddy’s Miami house.
Brown began calling Rihanna on her 21st birthday, the same day the photo of a battered Rihanna leaked out.
“They’re together again. They care for each other,” a source from the Brown camp told the magazine. “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.” The pair haven’t been photographed together yet, but shots of Brown jetskiing near Miami’s Star Island have emerged.

Britney's Ex Accused of Assault with a Deadly MercedesAn arrest warrant has been issued for Britney Spears's paparazzo ex-boyfriend to face felony charges of trying to avoid a process server – with the help of German engineering.
According to L.A. prosecutors, the victim was serving a temporary restraining order, obtained by Spears's father, at Adnan Ghalib's apartment complex in Encino on Feb. 11 when Ghalib got into his Mercedes and drove it toward the victim.
To avoid being penned against a trash truck, the victim jumped on the hood and hung on as the car served, eventually falling off and breaking his wrist, among other injuries, the District Attorney alleges. Ghalib allegedly drove away without stopping.

Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez once again became a lightning rod for controversy Saturday, as published reports said the New York Yankee tested positive for steroids in 2003.
Four sources told Sports Illustrated Rodriguez appears on a list of 104 players as having failed a drug test for two anabolic steroids, Primobolan and testosterone, in tests conducted as part of a Major League Baseball investigation. The New York Times also confirmed the story, citing two sources.
At the time, Rodriguez was playing for the Texas Rangers and was the year's American League home run king and MVP. Baseball did not have penalties for steroid use in 2003 and the results were to remain sealed and anonymous -- but in 2004 federal agents seized the records from a Long Beach, Calif., lab.
"I think it's a big deal for Major League Baseball because here was the player that they really had counted on to be their feel-good guy," Sports Illustrated writer Selena Roberts told CBS News. "Until now he had always said he was the clean one and I think most people believed that."

Add Christina Milian to the list of peoplewho were caught off guard by Nick Cannon's quickie marriage to Mariah Carey earlier this year.

The daughter of Hollywood legend Peter Falk says her father is no longer competent to run his own life because he suffers from Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Catherine Falk filed legal papers in L.A. County Superior Court claiming her father "requires full-time custodial care for his health and safety."
In the docs, Catherine claims she is worried her father "can easily be deceived into transferring away property" and believes a conservatorship will protect Peter from "fraud or undue influence."
A hearing on the matter is set for next month. Calls to Falk's reps were not returned.

A London High Court judge today found the British tabloid Mail on Sunday liable for breach of privacy and copyright for publishing stolen photos of Madonna's 2000 wedding to Guy Ritchie.
On Oct. 19, the tabloid published an 11-photo spread of the private snaps, which had never previously been released to the public—thus significantly upping their value and, in turn, the punitive compensation Madonna may receive as a result.
