Twenty-two year old rapper Bow Wow says he has had enough of the rap game and is retiring from the industry after 7 albums. Not everyone is convinced about the faux retirement publicity announcement. Do Jay-z and 50 Cent's promise to retire ring a bell? Bow wow says that he wants to focus on his acting career.

Bow Wow has announced that he is retiring from the music industry.
The rapper, real name Shad Gregory Moss, admitted that he has achieved everything he wants with his recording career and now plans to focus on acting.
"This is my last album because for me, there's no more that needs to be done on the music side, I've done everything," Contactmusic quotes him as saying.
"And the scary thing is I'm 22 years old and I'm young. I'm still a baby, so it's kinda like on the music side, I've been doing it since five. That's 17 years of non-stop music, music, music. There's nothing more to accomplish that I haven't seen yet."
The star rose to fame with his debut Beware Of The Dog in 2000 and has since released six albums.
Bow Wow will appear alongside Forest Whitaker and Taraji P. Henson in basketball drama Hurricane Season, released later this year. [DIGITAL SPY]

There is a new update on the Chris Brown & Rihanna assault that the fight between the popstars was caused by a "booty call text message" which was sent from Chris Brown's 40-year-old female manager. There were scandalous rumors that the teenage R&B singer was having an affair with his much older handler before his relationship with Rihanna.
According to the police report affidavit the fight was caused by a text message sent by a woman who had a past sexual relationship with Chris Brown.
Just when we were getting totally turned off by Chris Brown’s sugary sweetness, a wonderfully delicious scandal has dropped that makes him SO much more appealing! Chris, a singing and dancing machine with a PG - rating, is rumored to have been carrying on a sexual affair with his much older manager, and is reportedly in love with the woman, who was formerly a Senior VP at Def Jam. The romance is now supposedly disrupting Chris’ tour, and his mama, as expected, is PISSED, obvs. Her kid’s been getting busy with an older woman since he was 16, and now the affair is allegedly destroying his tour with Bow Wow - all in the name of Harold & Maude-esque love. Oh Chris, how we suddenly find you so much more appealing now. Kiss Kiss, indeed. The singer has released a statement denying the whole thing, dropping the usual token phrases when these kind of rumors arise. He says, “Chris Brown and his manager Tina Davis have a strictly professional relationship,” the statement reads. “Ms. Davis has been instrumental in helping Chris achieve success as a multi-talented singer/dancer/actor. Rumors that the relationship goes beyond a working one are not only patently false, they diminish her efforts and his undeniable talents.”[VH1]
The drama just keeps coming y'all.
Reports broke out Tuesday that the SMS that sparked the violent fight between Rihanna and Chris Brown was sent from his manager, Tina Davis, with whom Chris Brown allegedly had an affair at the age of sixteen.
The fight reportedly broke out when Rihanna became furious at the "three page text" message sent to Chris from his 39-year-old manager. He then purportedly flew into a rage, biting and strangling Rihanna and threatening to kill her, bruising her face and splitting her lip.
He has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, but is yet to enter a plea. His next arraignment hearing is scheduled for April 6.
According to police, the message discussed a possible meeting later the same evening between Chris and the sender, they have not confirmed it was sent by Tina. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) affidavit relating to the assault case states the message was "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with".
Chris and Tina both say they have never had a sexual relationship.
Despite spending time apart after the reported incident, Chris and Rihanna, 21, are believed to have reconciled after holding crisis talks at P. Diddy’s Miami home. The rapper has confirmed he did loan the pair his villa, but refused to be drawn on what was discussed while they were there.
He said: “It was a dark time for them and I was there as more of a support. I'm not immersed in their situation. I'm not going to pass judgment on it. I'm going to be there as a friend.
“It's my house, and I'm allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to. I don't cast a stone – cast judgment on anybody. So, if friends ask me for a favour, then I'm going to be there for a favour as long as I know the energy of the favour is positive.
“I don't think it's right for anybody to hit anybody. We know sometimes relationships get ugly. We don't know exactly what's going on. There are two young individuals involved. We need to pray for them.”
Meanwhile, Nickelodeon is not planning to remove Chris’ nominations in the Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song for ‘Kiss Kiss’ categories at the upcoming Kids’ Choice Awards.

Binside TV must mention that Bow Wow attended the Fashion shows with his rumored girlfriend Angela Simmons. There are now rumors that Bow Wow has impregnated former video vixen Karrine "Superhead" Steffans but both Bow Wow and Superhead claims the rumors aren't true. Bow Wow and Angela Simmons definitely looked like a couple at the Betsy Johnson and Russell Simmons Argyleculture fashion shows. Angela told us that Bow Wow was hanging our with her as a "friend" and he had never attended a fashion week so she brought him along. These two seem to be friends with benefits.
Bow Wow told us he really liked the new Russell Simmons Argyleculture collection and could see himself in some of the looks coming down the runway.
Bow Wow has accomplished alot in his career and just turned 21 years old. He addressed the retirement rumors and said that they are true because he's going to focus on doing the Hollywood thing like Will Smith. We are not knocking Bow Wow's game while he gets his hustle on in music and acting. We think Bow Wow and Angela Simmons look cute together and make a great couple.
The Argyleculture front row was packed with celebrities.
We spotted Sean Paul, Aubrey O'Day and D Woods from Danity Kane, Mel B and Petra Nemcova. We're taking in more fashion shows at the tents and are scheduled to attend tonight's debut DSquared Fragrance launch of the He Wood and She Wood, scents for both men and women. The Catenacci twins, Dean and Dan have a huge following of celebrities, including Christian Aguilera and Rihanna, who have both walked in DSquared2 runway shows.

Happy Holiday. Day One of the Essence Music Festival kicked off on the Fourth of July.
Rihanna, Kanye West and Chris Brown were some of the artists who performed on the stage at New Orleans Convention Center.
Congrats to directer & producer Tyler Perry.
He was awarded the key to the city by New Orleans Mayor Nagin. Some of the other celebs who attended on Day One were Solange Knowles, Bow Wow, Lebron James and Reverend Al Sharpton.
Essence Music Festival Day 1 Convention Center
In a stark display of his love-hate relationship with the Crescent
City, entertainment mogul Tyler Perry kicked off the 14th Essence Music
Festival on Friday by receiving a key to the city from Mayor Ray Nagin,
then sharing with a packed crowd memories of his troubled childhood in
New Orleans. Introducing Perry at the Ernest N.
Morial Convention Center, Nagin spoke of the entertainer's phenomenal
success in theater, film, television and literature, particularly his
unprecedented 100-episode deal with cable network TBS for his show
"House of Payne."
"He's one of the few creative people where they just gave him the check
and said, 'Here you go. Do whatever you want.' That just does not
happen," Nagin said.
When Perry came out, dressed in white linen pants with white loafers
and a navy blazer, Nagin offered him a proclamation and an oversized
golden key mounted on a wooden plaque.
"I don't know if it opens anything," Nagin cracked, to which Perry responded: "Hibernia?"
"You don't need Hibernia," Nagin said, referring to the former
Louisiana-based bank. "You're dealing with some bigger things. You are
a native son. This is your city. We are proud of you. We love you, and
we wish you the best."
Though Perry, 38, grew up in New Orleans, he moved to Atlanta 15 years
ago and has not spoken fondly of his childhood in New Orleans, which
included abuse and homelessness.
"I grew up in this great city, and if you haven't been here, I
encourage you to get out past the smiles of Bourbon Street and the
French Quarter," Perry said, after expressing his gratitude for the
city's honors. "There's another New Orleans, faced with poverty and
despair."
Referring to his "love-hate" relationship with the city, Perry said he
decided to get out of New Orleans after visiting Atlanta for the first
time.
"When I went to Atlanta, I saw black people doing well. Not just some
people, but everybody," Perry said. "So I packed up my Hyundai and I
moved." source

Rapper BOW WOW has joined the fifth season of the hit U.S. TV program ENTOURAGE.
The hip-hop star, real name Shad Moss, has landed a recurring role as a stand-up comedian who is managed by Eric Murphy, played by actor Kevin Connolly.
Moss - who says he aims to take on more acting roles in an attempt to "be the next Will Smith" - has also been cast in the upcoming sports drama Patriots opposite Forest Whitaker and Isaiah Washington, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
Nice to see confirmation of what we'd already shown you.

Hollywood.TV's camera were the crew behind the crew when they spotted hit TV show Entourage filming in this exclusive footage.
The whole Entourage team were there including a special guest. It's Bow Wow. man, we still remember when he was Lil'. We get to see Kevin Dillon (say hi to Matt for us), Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly and Jerry Ferrarra. It feels kind of weird filming celebrities who are pretending to be other celebrities. By the end of it we weren't completely sure who we were meant to be?

BOW WOW was rushed to hospital after a concert in Ohio, Cincinnati on Thursday (06Dec07) when he threw a temper tantrum - and cut himself. The star smashed up his dressing room in a rage and slashed his hand in the process. The 20-year-old went on stage straight afterwards and lost large quantities of blood during the performance. Initially it was reported the hip hop star was taken to hospital suffering from stress and exhaustion. Subsequently, his spokesman issued a statement telling fans the rapper had been diagnosed with an appendix infection.
In a bid to end the confusion, Bow Wow has confessed the real reason for his emergency appointment with doctors stemmed from his lack of self-control. He tells MTV.com, "I hit something and cut my hand. It would not stop bleeding. I lost a lot of blood, went onstage, put out a lot of energy, came off, got light-headed. I fainted, went to the hospital, threw up. "That's what it is. That's the real reason. It's not because I'm beefing with anybody on the tour, that's not the case. It's not because of exhaustion, either. That's B.S."
However, Bow Wow insists a statement from his representatives about his appendix is true. He says, "They (the doctors) told me my white blood cells were higher than what they're supposed to be. They were looking at my appendix. I've always had stomach issues. I've always had stomach problems. But like I said, we're gonna see if it's that serious that I have to take that surgery. If that's what I gotta do, that's what I gotta do. The appendix is a life-threatening thing."

Rapper BOW WOW has been diagnosed with an appendix affection - just days after he was rushed to hospital suffering from what doctors determined to be stress and exhaustion.
The hip hop star, 20, was taken to hospital following a concert in Cincinnati, Ohio, last Thursday (06Dec07), but his record label Sony promised fans he'd be back in action once he'd recuperated. However, it now transpires his symptoms were not caused by the strain of his sold-out tour with Sean Kingston and Chris Brown, but an infection of his appendix, reports AllHipHop.com. Bow Wow is expected to return to the stage on 13 December (07) in Memphis, Tennessee.

Rap superstar Bow Wow was rushed to a local area hospital immediately following his co-headlining performance on the Chris Brown tour. On the road promoting the December 11th release of his new album Face Off, Bow Wow is in good spirits and awaiting the doctors diagnosis which appears to be a combination of stress and exhaustion. Bow Wow will have to sit out his Chicago appearance tonight, but promises his Chicago-area fans that "he loves them and will be sure to come back to Chicago soon!"
