The Jus` Blues Music Foundation will kick-off this year Technology Conference in San Francisco. Change has definitely come to the music industry through the advances of technology – from recording to purchasing. February 6th, on February 7th Club Velma's will host a fundraiser for the JBMF for Technology & Jus` Blues in the School Program.
JBMF is very excited to bring their Technology Conference to the Bay area. "We had a very successful Tech Conference last August on World Famous Beale Street. As we prepare for our Award show scheduled for August 5th - 9th in Memphis Tennessee. The Blues & Soul music community will decide who will be honored during the Jus` Blues Music Award Week. We will soon have our ballot out on the internet so that blues fans can vote for their favorite recording blues artist." JBMF online

BEYONCE KNOWLES is to play music legend ETTA JAMES in a new film about blues label Chess Records.
Knowles, who will also act as executive producer on Cadillac Records, will join Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, Cedric The Entertainer and Tammy Blanchard in the project.
Brody will play label founder Leonard Chess, while Wright will portray blues great Muddy Waters and Cedric The Entertainer Willie Dixon.
Knowles will also record four songs for the film's soundtrack, which will be released through her manager/father's label Music World Entertainment.
The singer/actress will donate a portion of her fees for the film to recovering addicts through her family's charity, the Survivor Foundation, according to Billboard.com.
