Kanye West has two new shoe lines, a Pastelle clothing line, a rumored cologne deal in the works and an energy drink.
The rapper who is a fan of the beverage is proud to be working with the drinks company. He felt they are the same work principles.

In the current economic downturn record labels are dropping artists pretty quickly if they don't sell. The latest casualties are Kelly Rowland and Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles.
Last week, the internet was abuzz with the rumors that Kelly Rowland had been dropped by Columbia Records. The day after the story surfaced online, the record company CEO, Robert Stringer attempted to quell the rumors by releasing a formal statement.
"Kelly Rowland is one of our finest contemporary artists and a musical force to be reckoned with. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with Kelly and we will continue our working relationship with her under the Destiny's Child moniker. The decision for Kelly to seek other opportunities for her solo career was agreed upon mutually, and any reports to the contrary are false," Stringer offered.
Anyone with a remote knowledge of the music business understood that since Rowland was signed to Columbia Records via a production deal with Music World Entertainment, the company founded by Mathew Knowles, it was inevitable that her deal with Columbia Records was compromised once the 28-year-old singer ended her management agreement with Knowles back in January.
Now my sources tell me that the real reason the story about Rowland leaked the way it did last week was so that no one would realize that Geffen/Interscope Records has opted not to further their relationship with Knowles' daughter Solange Knowles. [BLACK VOICES]
Former Destiny's Child singer, Kelly Rowland, recently parted ways with her manager Mathew Knowles.
Kelly Rowland has been rumored to be seeking new management for a minute now, but it looks like it's finally official. A "highly placed source" in the Rowland camp has announced that the Destiny's Child singer has fired longtime manager (and former bandmate Beyonce's father) Mathew Knowles.
"Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family," Rowland said in a statement.
Knowles has also released a statement confirming the split. "After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and as a dad I only have love for Kelly," he said.
In the past, Rowland was rumored to be leaving Knowles management in search of a more "unbiased manager." Simon Fuller, manager of The Spice Girls, Carrie Underwood and David and Victoria Beckham, was allegedly her first choice, but reports are circulating that the singer has decided to go with Chris Lighty and Violator Management. I understand that Matthew would be pissed that his own daughter(Kelly) would fire him as a manager, but to have her dropped from her label? Is it not enough that everytime Kelly attempted to drop a record Beyonce conveniently dropped one too? Or that each time there was an Award show where Beyonce was performing Kelly could only be in the audience cheering her on? Or how can we forget that other performance where Beyonce performed and tore it down and then introduced Kelly AFTER to sing some new single she had? The crowd went from WOW!!! to woah!!! Ciara is defending herself against style jacking accusations burning up the blogosphere. Cici says that she was inspired by designer Thierry Mugler and not Beyonce.
The blogs are buzzing today about the similarities between the videos for Ciara's "Love Sex Magic" and Beyonce's "Diva," along with leaked footage of choreographer Sheryl Murakami's demo version of B's upcoming clip for "Ego." To put it bluntly, they're claiming that Ciara jacked Beyonce's swagger. Is it true? Reps for both singers declined to comment, but it's awful hard to deny when you look at this composite image of screen grabs from all three videos that's floating around the Internet. What say you, Music Mixers? Is Ciara a Sasha Fierce copycat? Is she capital F fierce in her own right? Or is this all much ado about nothing? [EW]
We must mention that Beyonce looks to the past for inspiration in her videos. Beyonce and her choreographer frequently use Bob Fosse's original style and choreography for inspiration. Is Beyonce's copying different from Ciara's style jacking?
In the past, I have argued stealing for inspiration is good -- there are no original ideas any more -- but a bright and dangerous line has been crossed by Beyonce into what I believe is "choreographic plagiarism." [URBAN SEMIOTIC]
People are talking about the similarities between Beyonce’s choreography and your choreography. I know what you were going for... Right, I got inspired by the Vegas show, but go ahead. What do you want to know? How do you even address that? Have you seen the screen grabs? I don’t think there’s really anything to address. I think it’s very, very funny. And you know what my response is to that? For the ones that have something negative to say? They must have really enjoyed it that much to go and nitpick it, because it’s something they pulled up and was like, “Yo!” There were a couple of things in there that I’ve never seen. I think that it’s important for us as artists to be original and to create something new, so it would be really silly of me to go and create something you’ve already seen. So not one time were any of my references another artist. My references were clearly inspired from shows that I’ve actually seen. It goes to show how creative we can be and how close the worlds are. I did my first video with my metal outfit. I was inspired by Thierry Mugler. Now, from my understanding, Beyonce is using Thierry Mugler for her tour. It just is what it is. It’s very petty to me. When people nitpick something and they say negative things, my response to that is they really must have liked it that much. They just said, “This just can’t be! We gotta find something!” That’s also the definition of a person having too much time on their hands to do nothing. That’s how I look at that. [HONEY]

Looking back, who would've thought that the front-woman of Destiny's Child would end up dating, let alone marrying one of hip-hop's most crucial lyricists? In the beginning of their courtship, many heads were definitely being scratched in confusion; over the course of their very public yet private relationship, not that much has changed. We are STILL scratching our heads, and it's a wonder that we even know that they know each other. On April 4, your royal king and queen of hip-hop & r&b celebrated their one year wedding anniversary! Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Carter!

Rihanna and Chris Brown have definitely reconciled and were seen traveling back to LA together at the airport. Click here to see the TMZ photos. The pop duo are reportedly hiding out in LA at the Beverly Wilshire hotel.
According to OK! magazine, the couple decided to stay away from their Los Angeles homes -- which no doubt have hordes of paparazzi camping out -- and shack up at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
The controversial couple returned from Miami on a private jet. They are reportedly trying to patch things up after a February 8 altercation that left Rihanna bloodied and bruised after Brown allegedly beat her.
The twosome may not receive the kind of support they're hoping for. While Rihanna's dad publicly stated he's behind his daughter in whatever decision she makes, new reports suggest the "Umbrella" singer's family isn't ready to forgive and forget. "Everyone wants them to take a break, to cool off," a Rihanna relative revealed to People magazine. "No one wants them back together. I'm concerned -- I don't want her to make a mistake, and I don't want her to ever go through this again."
Immediately following the battering, a reconciliation between Chris and Rihanna didn't seem likely. Brown went into hiding, while Rihanna recuperated in Mexico -- after reportedly helping the LAPD build a case against her allegedly abusive beau.

Hollywood is rallying around Rihanna who is a victim of domestic abuse after she was bruised and bloodied by Chris Brown's attack.
From Rihanna's mentor Jay-Z to actress Hilary Duff, Tinseltown is coming to the defense of pop star Rihanna, after it was reported she was taking back her allegedly abusive beau, Chris Brown.
According to Us Weekly, Jay-Z and his Beyoncé have reached out to the young "Umbrella" singer, who is Jay's protégé. The hip-hop king is also reportedly trying to set up a meeting between Rihanna and abuse survivor Tina Turner.
In Las Vegas, Hilary Duff sent Rihanna a message via "Extra" at the Power of Love Gala. "I wish her all the best," says Duff, "and want to let girls out there know that it's never okay to be treated like that."
Veteran actor Victor Rivers -- author of "A Private Family Matter" -- told "Extra" he suffered abuse at the hands of his father, and he believes the R&B couple needs to get help. "Chris and Rihanna need professional help. I know because I've been through it... unless there's some type of accountability, it will continue to happen."
Rihanna took Brown back, but will it help his tarnished reputation? Nationally syndicated radio host Big Boy revealed that he's not sure Chris can repair his image. "When you see something like this -- I don't know where he can go from here." source
Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty says he supports his daughter's decision but there has not been much attention paid to his troubled past with substance abuse and financial troubles. Rihanna's father has admitted he is a recovering crack addict who was ashamed when his daughter discovered he was a crackhead. In 2007 the National Enquirer uncovered photos showing Rihanna's dad selling his clothes out of the trunk of his car to make a living.
These exclusive Enquirer photos show the entertainer’s down-and-out dad trying to eke out a living. Rihanna, 19, a former beauty pageant winner in Barbados, has said in interviews that she witnessed her father, Ronald Fenty, struggle with a crack cocaine addiction while she was growing up.
While Ronald reportedly has beaten his drug problem, he’s still clearly struggling with poverty. “Ronald is trying to make ends meet by selling clothes and perfumes and lotions out of his car,” said a friend of his in Barbados.
“It’s kind of sad that his daughter is raking in millions as a world famous singer while her dad is still hustling to make a buck.” source

Superstar Rihanna's dad told last night of his shame after she caught him smoking crack cocaine when she was just nine years old.
Ronald Fenty revealed how the singer - who hopes to win best international female artist at Wednesday's glitzy Brits awards do in London - watched him indulge his lethal habit as she peered through a gap in the kitchen door.
Ronald revealed: "I turned and looked Rihanna in the eye and instantly came back down from the high I was on. I saw her run for her mother, ask her something and then they both started to cry. I had no idea she had been watching.
"It was the lowest point - life just stopped and I realised what a fool I had been."
The moment tore apart Ronald and Rihanna's lives. He was thrown out of the family home in Barbados and stopped from seeing his daughter. But Ronald, 54, managed to kick the drugs and now plays a full part in her life - even joining the 19-year-old sensation on tour. He has also done his best to warn her off drugs - though he's sure she wouldn't touch them anyway.
"I spent 25 years doing drugs so I know the devastation they cause," he said. "Last year I sat her down and said, 'Rihanna don't make the mistakes I did. Don't do drugs'. source
Rihanna and Chris Brown have bid adios to Miami Beach.
After spending the past few days holed up in the city, the controversially reunited duo was spotted together at Miami International Airport late Sunday night.
The couple, doing their best to cover up their faces, were joined by several friends at the airport, and Brown arrived in the L.A. area this morning. Rihanna is believed to have accompanied him, with sources telling E! News the twosome has checked in to a Beverly Hills hotel.
Brown is tentatively scheduled to be arraigned in Los Angeles on Thursday for their Grammys eve confrontation, but the district attorney says that date may be postponed if detectives don't turn over the case soon enough. As of this morning, prosecutors tell E! News they have yet to see the evidence.
Since that incident occurred on Feb. 8, Rihanna spent solo time in Los Angeles, Mexico and her native Barbados, while Brown traveled to Las Vegas and his Virginia hometown before jetting to Miami.
Word broke late Friday that the couple was spending one-on-one time at Sean "Diddy" Combs' Star Island mansion.
Over the weekend, the "Disturbia" singer remained out of sight, while Brown, for the first time since his Feb. 8 arrest, appeared to be less than camera shy, jet skiing in the waters around Diddy's compound. He had also been logging late-night sessions at Miami's Hit Factory studios, working on his new album, in the days leading up to their reunion.
E! News has also learned that Brown's mother, Joyce Hawkins, was among those in Miami supporting her son. Brown has discussed in interviews childhood memories of domestic abuse his mother endured at the hands of a man she was involved with.
Reps for both Rihanna and Chris Brown have so far refused to comment on the seeming reconciliation, though Rihanna's father made clear over the weekend that he was behind his daughter, whatever direction her personal life may take. source

Heidi Klum's dress just didn't work for me. It was too open and too like that of dresses worn by Heidi before. She tried to vamp it up with lots, lots, lots of bling but it just didn't work.
This dress did nothing for Melissa George. I didn't like the bodice of it at all.
Amy Adams looked gorgeous, and her necklace really made the outfit. Perhaps, however, it might have looked better with out the black seams.
Sorry. Didn't like this. The mermaid style doesn't suit Beyonce and the pattern looked like something you'd find on a dinner jacket of one of the ladies down at the nursing home.
This was a lovely blue for Freida by John Galliano. It just didn't make the best, best list.
Queen Latifa in George Chakra looked lovely on the red carpet, but the electric blue dress she wore during her performance was much better.

Etta James is trying to laugh off her comments about not standing Beyonce and saying she wanted to give her a butt whipping for performing her song "At Last" at the Presidential Inauguration.

Etta James insists her recent comments about "whipping Beyonce's ass" were just a joke.
The legendary soul star was addressing an audience while on stage in Seattle last week when she threatened to "ass whip" the Crazy in Love songstress after the singer covered her hit song At Last during President Barack Obama's Inauguration Ball on January 20.
"You guys know your President, right? The one with the big ears? He ain't my President. He had that woman singing my song. She gonna get her ass whipped," Etta told the crowd.
"The great Beyonce, she ain't mine. I can't stand Beyonce.
"She had no business up there singing on a big ol’ President day, singing my song that I've been singing forever."
But James, 71, insists she was just adding a little comedy to her routine.
She tells the New York Daily News, "I didn't really mean anything.
"Even as a little child, I've always had that comedian kind of attitude. ... That's probably what went into it. I was feeling left out of something that was basically mine, that I had done every time you look around."
"Nobody was getting mad at me in Seattle," she said. "They were all laughing, and it was funny."
She said the jokes were "not from a vicious place."
And James isn't worried about offending America's new President with comments about his ears. "He's got other stuff [to worry about] besides Etta James," she said. source

Last but not least is what happens after the show. I thought I was walking into an old fashioned Car-hop Doo-Doo brown jump off contest, turned out to be a "Bitch-fight" that ends with gunshots poppin' off like fireworks at a Chinese New Year celebration. Instead of "Gung Hay Fat Choy", it was more like duck down fast boy!!

Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday celebration and his own historic swearing-in as president, Barack Obama stood Sunday in front of the Lincoln Memorial, evoked the country's heroes and heritage, and told the nation that ``the dream of our founders will live on in time.'' Obama spoke during an afternoon celebration of his historic election, featuring musicians led by Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce as well as famous actors, all entertaining an estimated half-million people on the National Mall with songs and readings aimed at capturing the gravity of the moment. Obama, the first black American to be elected president, looked out at the sea of people and told them, ``What gives me hope is what I see when I look out across this mall. For in these monuments are chiseled those unlikely stories that affirm our unyielding faith -- a faith that anything is possible in America.'' He gazed fleetingly at the Washington Monument in the distance. ''Rising before us stands a memorial to a man who led a small band of farmers and shopkeepers in revolution against the army of an empire, all for the sake of an idea,'' he said. Congrats to all of the winners and nominees at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards. One of the most entertaining acceptance speeches came from comeback king Mickey Rourke who took home an award for his performance in The Wrestler. The most memorable moment of the evening was when Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan accepted the Best Supporting Actor award on behalf of the late Heath Ledger. Rest in peace Heath.
