Rihanna was the best dressed female celebrity on the red carpet at the BET Awards. We give best dressed man honors to John Legend. Click here and here to watch our favorite BET awards performances and get a recap of the event. Bright colors like hot pink, purple and yellow were popular colors on the red carpet.
Watch BET Awards Romance Rumors
She wore a yellow Giambattista Valli dress with Chopard diamonds. Rihanna and Chris Brown were still denying their relationship. Chris Brown did admit that he and Rihanna were dating on the Russ Parr morning show. Alicia Keys looked beautiful in two outfits. Alicia wore a pink dress on the red carpet and changed into an outfit with gold embellishments when she took home the top prize for Best Female R&B Artist.
The worst dressed was Lil Mama who looked like a hospital candy stripper.
Lil Mama always seems to fall off the mark in the fashion department.
The Banger award goes to Nia Long who looked beautiful in purple. We also think Lauren London deserved an award too. We think the beautiful actresses look like sisters. Check out some pictures with some of the attendees including Jordin Sparks, Gabrielle Union, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Cassie, Solange, Jennifer Hudson, Ashanti, Soulja Boy, John Legend, Rick Ross, LisaRaye, Trina,Ashanti and Nelly, Keyshia Cole, Terence Howard and Chrisette Michelle

Here are some performances and Highlights from the BET Awards. We like to mention some of our favorite surprises at the show. Alicia Keys had a historic "girl power" theme with her performance and brought SWV, En Vogue and TLC to the stage. It was nice to see Dawn on stage to form the original En Vogue girl group. We were very happy to see Maxwell make an appearance during the Al Green Tribute with Jill Scott and Anthony Hamilton. Maxwell has been delayed from releasing music for so long but we still can't wait to hear from him. He still sounds and looks good. Click here to see the performance. The couple who had the most chemistry on stage were Ciara and Chris Brown. Chris Brown was electric with Ciara and we could feel the energy between these two that was missing during Chris' performances with Jordin Sparks. Their performance was borderline porno but Ciara worked it well and looked beautiful. We would tell RIhanna to watch out for Ciara but she's going around telling everyone she doesn't love Chris Brown. Rihanna also spoke on The View and said she is not dating Chris Brown so he sounds like he's a free agent. Click here for a full list of winners.

YOUNG JEEZY AND KANYE WEST PERFORMING " PUT ON " @ The 2008 Awards
"I'd like to thank T-Pain for gettin' on the record with me," said Kanye West, a two-time winner Tuesday at the 2008 BET Awards, upon accepting their award for Best Collaboration on the Graduation tune "Good Life." "This man's a genius. What he does, what he writes...we're blessed to be in this man's presence."
The 22-year-old rapper-producer, a featured artist on no less than 18 singles (so far) in 2007 and 2008, entered the evening with a leading five nominations, although his shared win with West was it for now.
West was also named Best Male Hip-Hop Artist for the second time, his first win in that category coming in 2005, when Late Registration was still a new album.
Alicia Keys, the only female winner who was in the house tonight, was named Best Female R&B Artist, and took the opportunity to let the moment sink in.
"I just wanna say that we are so incredible, we are such an incredible people," the platinum-selling songstress said coyly. "We are so beautiful and fly, and everybody wants to be like us...I mostly want to thank all of you that are watching and standing here right now. Without you...I really really appreciate you very much. source
T PAIN & LIL WAYNE A MILLIE 2008 BET AWARD PERFORMANCE
T-Pain and Lil Wayne have owned the music scene over the past year: It seems as if T-Pain's voice has accented half the hits on urban radio, while Lil Wayne, another ubiquitous collaborator, has appeared on the rest. In addition, Lil Wayne just this month scored the year's best-selling album sales debut with 1 million copies sold of his new CD, "Tha Carter III." So it was appropriate that both artists dominated Tuesday's BET Awards with not only their energetic performances but their presence, despite winning just one trophy each. "We're blessed to be in this man's presence," Kanye West, one of music's biggest self-promoters, said of T-Pain when the pair accepted their award for best collaboration for "The Good Life," going on to call T-Pain a "genius." "I'll let y'all know because I'm one of the kings of this game. My opinion counts." West also paid homage to Lil Wayne, calling him "my fiercest competition." "You scared me man," West said, bringing Lil Wayne onstage when West won the trophy for best hip-hop male. "Congratulations on selling over a million records. And they say hip hop is dead." Other highlights from the three-hour ceremony included a girl group reunion; a stirring tribute to the Rev. (and soul legend) Al Green; and topless performance by ripped rapper Nelly. T-Pain, who led the nominees with five nods for his many collaborations — not his own hits — performed with his fellow nominees twice during the three-hour ceremony. He transformed the Shrine Auditorium into a circus with a multi-artist medley that showed his wide-ranging influence during his first appearance. Wearing a spangled top hat, the rapper-singer shared the stage with fellow nominees Flo Rida, Rick Ross, Ludacris and Big Boi, along with a bevy of big-top freaks, including fire eaters and acrobats. "This industry is my circus," said T-Pain. "Ride with the ringleader." source

Jennifer Hudson was on the red carpet for the BET awards. We're a fan of JHud's voluptuous figure but she just looked too stuffed into this outfit and this dress doesn't compliment her curves. Watch the World Premiere for Jennifer Hudson's new music video Spotlight. We think Jennifer looks beautiful in the clip. We love this song. We're glad your music is finally coming out. Way to go Jennifer!
