I've been a Keri Hilson fan since back in 2006 when I first heard "Happy Juice" Featuring Snoop Dogg. Finally three years later she's made her much anticipated debut with her album In A Perfect World. I thought it was never gonna come out considering it got pushed back twenty-eight times. Don't really know why Interscope was holding out on us because "In A Perfect World" will cause folks to revert to the stone ages and go to the store and actually buy a CD. Recession and ALL.
Some of my favorite tracks include the hit singles "Energy", "Return The Favor", and "Turnin Me On". But my absolute favs are:
- "Get Your Money Up"
- "Knock You Down"
- "Slow Dance"
- "Make Love"
- "Change Me"
- "Where Did He Go"
And you're absolutely correct if you said that's damn near the whole album. I love it all! Yes I'm serious.
Anyways...check out the video for her latest single "Knock You Down" featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West. Just click on the pic here :
Considering Keri Hilson and Kanye's ex-girlfriend Brooke Crittendon could pass for twins, it's no wonder the chemistry is so apparent in this video.

And is the camera playin tricks on me or do Ne-Yo and Kanye look some kind of yummy in this flick?

Here is a list of the American Music Award winners. Rihanna looked beautiful in a handkerchief inspired dress. One surprise of the evening happened when Kanye West offered his award to his friend Lil Wayne who was nominated in the same category. This was a pretty cool gesture 'Ye.
Kanye West won his first two American Music Awards at the annual event last night (November 23).
According to Reuters, West won the awards for 'Favorite Rap Artist ' and 'Favorite Rap Album (Graduation)'.
The Chicago bred rapper would offer his 'Favorite Rap Artist' award to Lil Wayne who was also nominated for the award.
"If it was last year, this would have been my award," West said. "This year, it's Wayne's award. We'll see what happens next year."
R&B crooner Chris Brown took home the most awards (3) which included 'Artist Of The Year' and Favorite Soul/R&B Artist'. Other multiple winners at the event included Rihanna and Alicia Keys.
In related news, West will be releasing his fourth solo album titled 808's & Heartbreak today (November 24). The album will feature appearances from Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi and Young Jeezy. source

Beyonce performed a live version of her hit song "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

Chris Brown was the big winner, but it was Kanye West’s night at the American Music Awards.
Instead of his typical tantrum — a trend West started four years ago when he lost the favorite new artist prize — the rapper claimed two trophies Sunday and called on his colleagues to up their game.
“It’s our responsibility as musicians to keep pushing each other,” West said. “We will be the new Beatles, the new (Jimi) Hendrix. I want to be Elvis.”
West was named favorite male rap/hip-hop artist and his CD, “Graduation,” won favorite rap/hip-hop album.
Brown took the night’s top honors — artist of the year — as well as favorite male artist in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories.
“I was shocked,” the 19-year-old crooner said backstage. “I’m so thankful and grateful. I thought Coldplay should have won the award, but I’ll take it.”
Brown’s gal pal, Rihanna — who wore chains and a leather corset to perform her love ballad, “Rehab” — was named favorite female artist in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. Alicia Keys was another double winner: Her CD, “As I Am,” was both pop/rock and soul/R&B album winner.
The American Music Awards traditionally centers on its performances, and Sunday was no exception. The show featured high-energy sets from Miley Cyrus, Ne-Yo and Beyonce, though a pair of lackluster medleys opened the program at the Nokia Theatre. Christina Aguilera channeled Madonna and the New Kids on the Block channeled an earlier version of themselves as each sang their latest singles and greatest hits. source

Here is Ne-Yo's new music video "Miss Independent" directed by Chris Robinson. We like this song and feel the "Boomerang" inspired video is one of Ne-Yo's best clips yet. Look for cameos from a bevy of beautiful women including Gabrielle Union, Lauren London and Keri Hilson. Trey Songz also makes an appearance with his new short hair cut after he trimmed the braids. Ne-Yo's album "Year of the Gentlemen" hits stores on September 16th.

Ne-Yo has the power of the Matrix because his song "Closer" just knocked Coldplay out of the number one spot on the UK charts. Congrats Ne-Yo! MTV joined the R&B singer in the studio for an advance listening of tracks from Ne-Yo's album "Year of the Gentleman." We liked what we heard and are excited for the new disc to drop. The tracks have gotten the seal of approval from Michael Jackson himself.
British rockers COLDPLAY have been ousted from the top of the U.K. singles chart by R+B singer NE-YO.
The band's latest release Viva La Vida topped the chart last week (beg23Jun08) but the track has now been beaten into second place by Ne-Yo's latest offering Closer.
American Idol winner Jordin Sparks has leapt up seven places to number three with No Air featuring Chris Brown. And Brown himself is at number four with Forever.
The top five is rounded out by Brown's rumoured girlfriend Rihanna, who is at five with Take A Bow.
In the album chart Coldplay have retained the top spot with Viva La Vida, followed by Duffy's Rockferry at two and Neil Diamond's Home Before Dark at three.
Fourth place is taken by Skydivin' by Darren Styles and Sigur Ros'
new album, Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust is at five. source

HollyHoodUSA.TV Celeb News Report - Jury Selection for R. Kelly Trial Begins
by: Linda Hobbs
Prosecution aims to eliminate Kelly fans
Jury selection for the R. Kelly trial has begun, and speculation is
flying that the prosecution plans to weed out fans of the R&B superstar.
According to the Associated Press, Kelly has pleaded not guilty to
videotaping himself having sex with a minor. The16 jurors chosen for the
case – that has been postponed off-and-on throughout the course of an
entire year – will be key for both the prosecutors and defense attorneys.
"In a case where a celebrity has good and bad public images, it's
critical," says Steve Cron, a 35-year defense attorney who has no
relation to the Kelly trial. Cron says that the prosecution is likely to
take careful measures to eliminate Kelly fans. "…The prosecution should
be successful in excluding them," he said, adding that the prosecutors
are likely to go for educated jurors, particularly technical people who
can articulate what’s actually happening in the video.
The sex tape was
created between January 1, 1998 and November 1, 2000, and the girl
believed to be in the video, now 23, claims it’s not her.
On the first day of the trial Friday, Cook County Circuit Judge Vincent
Gaughan told potential jurors: “As you know, this is a high-profile
case," he said, according to court transcripts. "And if you don't know,
God love you. You're probably the only person on Earth that doesn't."
Jury selection is expected to be a weeklong process.
If Kelly is found guilty, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

Hollywood.TV's cameras were wishing that their girlfriends were hot like that when they spotted Nicole Sherzinger and Ne-Yo in this exclusive clip.
The A-List musicians were out at the Ivy and Pussycat Doll breaking away, Nicole and hit maker Ne-Yo look like they're trying to keep a pretty low profile. Neither seem too happy that we're there.
So here's what we do know.
One, Nicole has a solo album due. Her Name is Nicole is penciled in for a 2008 release, after the next PCD release of course which is due August.
Two, Ne-Yo is one of her producers, as are Akon, Kanye West, Timbaland and will.i.am
Three, the first singles released from it didn't bother the charts and word is there may be re-recording going on.
Is this a little production meeting or perhaps a work break? We don't know. What we do know is that the man who wrote Irreplaceable for Beyonce would be a very good friend to have right now.

R&B singer NE-YO refuses to be hurt when fans prefer his collaborations with BEYONCE KNOWLES, RIHANNA AND MARY J. BLIGE to his solo hits.
The So Sick hitmaker has collaborated with a variety of high profile stars in between juggling his own recording career.
But Ne-Yo is determined to carry on making his own albums and ignore critics' calls to stick solely to songwriting.
He says, "One thing I am hearing a lot lately is 'Ne-Yo is at his best when writing for other people'. Which is strange. I don't mind it. "Honestly as long as your head is nodding to the music, I'm cool. It don't matter who's singing it.
"At the end of the day my music, be it a song I put out for myself or a song I put out with (someone else) - it's still all my vision."
