Do not judge the royal family by what you see in this video. This is not the family I know. Isa does not display the family ethics. The Al Nahyan Family is a kind and generous family. Sheikh Isa's father the late great Sheikh Zayed did not raise his son to behave in this manner. It is obvious this son has lost touch with his own family values.
I would also like to mention that Mr. Bassam has forgotten the hospitality shown to him while visiting UAE. It is not yet clear why Mr. Bassam was put in Jail.
Sheikh Isa will get his punishment from his own family surely the video is enough for the family to agree this is real. I, personally knowing the family, do know that the family will not let this pass easily. They have their own traditional way of handling issues that bring shame and dishoner to their good name. It was their own father that allowed his own son, Isa's brother to be jailed for his own crimes. Zayed's son's will know how to handle this. The world needs not to pass judgement on the intergrity and honor of The "Al Nahyan" Family or its citizens for this shameful act by one of its members.
Shame on you Isa, your father taught you better. Your family rasied me to be who I am today and that is to always be honorable, kind and hospitable. Us who love the memory of your father and love your family will not allow you to stain their reputation. You must be a man now and face your punishment. God help you.

There are rumors that Lindsay Lohan and her gal pal Samantha Ronson had another major public fight on New Years. It sounds like the couple decided to ring in the New Year with their own relationship fireworks on display. Lilo and Samron are rumored to have had a nasty fight in Dubai during the launch of a lavish hotel. Hopefully 2009 will he a good rehab free year for Lindsay Lohan. UPDATE: Read more details about the Lilo Samantha Ronson throw down.
The ladies were in our hometown to host a New Year's bash at the club Mansion. And, according to multiple eyewitness reports, it was there that things took a turn for bat shizz crazy for the sapphic duo. During the NYE celebration, tension between Lindz and saMAN got so heated that they screamed at one another in full view of partygoers. The fight apparently spilled out into a bum-infested alley behind the club. A source said LezLo was "really unstable and flipping out" and screeched at saMAN, "When I storm off, you are supposed to follow me!" After ringing in the New Year the fighting continued on at their hotel. Several sources say they heard 'crashing sounds and screaming' coming from the lovers' room until the fight made its way out into the hall at about 11 a.m. An eyewitness said, "They were punching each other - it was bad. And they were doing this in front of all of us. It was scary." And, at one point, Linsanity allegedly dropped to her knees and cried, "Why are you doing this to me?" To that, Man supposedly responded, "I don't know you." WTF?!?! Hotel security eventually intervened and proceeded to take photos of the lovers' "trashed" room. "Mirrors were broken and it was a complete mess," said a snitch. Will they use their NYE "hosting" money to pay for the damages?! source
By contrast, hooking up with Lindsay appears to have done wonders for Sam's career.
It was reported this week that since she began dating the Mean Girls star, her DJ fee rocket from around $1,500 to as much as $25,000 per appearance. source
Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson had their second major spat in a week at the extravagant launch of a Dubai hotel last night. Sam took to the decks at the afterparty but left Lindsay in tears after they had yet another row. A source said: 'At one stage Lindsay approached Sam in the DJ booth and screamed at her, 'How many more songs? How long is it going to take for you to pack up?"'. It would appear the couple are going through a major rough patch. According to one US report, the pair are currently undergoing counselling to resolve their escalating problems. They had a screaming match at Boujis on Tuesday night when Sam spotted Lindsay dancing with Calum Best, and had to be pulled apart after almost coming to blows. A source told US newspaper The New York Post, 'Lindsay and Sam are fighting like cats and dogs. They fight every day, screaming, crying and yelling at each other. 'Sam and Lindsay are still very much together and very much in love, but drama just seems to follow Lindsay, and Sam hates it. 'She deals with Lindsay every day. And every day for Sam means questioning, "Is this worth it?"' Last night it was fashion designer Matthew Williamson who played the role of peacemaker between the pair.

Emirates Airline has started flying the Airbus A380 superjumbo from Heathrow airport to Dubai.
Daily flights on the A380 leave Heathrow at 1.45pm and arrive at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 at 12.30am local time the next day. From Dubai A380 flights to Heathrow depart at 7.45am and arrive at Heathrow at 11.35am local time.
The Emirates A380 double decker has 489 seats, a 40% capacity increase on the Boeing 777 aircraft used on the route. The whole of the upper deck is for Premium Class passengers. Towards the front, First Class passengers are able to relax in 14 flat-bed, massage-equipped Private Suites.
Also in the First Class cabin are two shower spas with heated flooring, leather seating and shower kits from Emirates’ premium spa brand, Timeless Spa.
“We are delighted to bring our customers state-of-the-art comforts which are unmatched anywhere else in the world. Despite today’s challenging economic environment, they have responded by booking every seat on our inbound and outbound flights," says Emirates Airline president, Tim Clark.
“Our major onboard innovations, the Onboard Shower Spas and Onboard Lounge, have already proved a big hit with customers. Around 75 per cent of our First Class passengers are using the showers in-flight, while the Onboard Lounge has proved a popular gathering spot for passengers who are able to tear themselves away from our revolutionary in-flight entertainment system,” continues Clark.
Emirates says its A380 makes less than half the noise of a 747 jumbo jet and uses 20 per cent less fuel. “Due to its environmentally-friendly performance, the Emirates A380s will make a huge contribution to Heathrow’s efforts to reduce its overall emissions,” comments Clark.
A total of 58 of the A380 superjumbos have been ordered by Emirates. The first two started flying on the Dubai to New York route in August and October. Sydney and Auckland will get A380 flights to Dubai from February next year.
Emirates now operates 98 non-stop flights a week from the UK to Dubai – including five services a day from Heathrow, three daily from Gatwick, two per day from Manchester and Birmingham, and daily services from Glasgow and Newcastle airports.

Fireworks and celebration erupt as the QE2 prepares for Dubai
The QE2's final departure from British shores was accompanied by solemnity and fireworks. To mark the 90th anniversary of the end of the first world war, a Tiger Moth plane dropped 1m poppies on the 70,000-tonne liner, which was a hospital ship during the 1982 Falklands war.
After the two-minute silence, Prince Philip met long-serving staff as well as the former captains of HMS Ardent, Antelope and Coventry, ships lost in the Falklands campaign. He also stood on the aft decks of the QE2 to watch a Harrier jet fly-past. Last night a flotilla accompanied the ship as it left Southampton for its final voyage. Passengers snapped up tickets, with the highest-priced berths going for more than £28,000.
The QE2 will reach Dubai on November 26 and be handed over to Nakheel, a firm that is part of the Dubai World company - the creator of the world's largest manmade island, the Palm Jumeirah. After refurbishment over the next few months, the ship will dock permanently at a specially constructed berth on the island.
Since launched by the Queen on the Clyde in 1967, the QE2 has carried more than 2.5 million passengers. The longest-serving ship in the history of the Cunard line, it has broken records for speed and endurance. After 40 years and 5.5m miles, however, keeping it at sea for much longer would have been too costly.
With the Queen Mary 2 now the Cunard flagship, and with other vessels due to join the fleet, Cunard announced last year that the QE2 would be sold to Dubai World for £50m.

We would like to see a modified version of the twin turbo V8 found in the current generation BMW 7 er. Look for a launch sometime in 2010 , when you will for sure see a few "rollin" around Dubai. Nakheel's promotional video about Dubai's latest megaproject, Waterfront City!

Nakheel has revealed the masterplan for Waterfront City, the vibrant centrepiece of Waterfront, the largest urban development project in the world.
Waterfront City is planned to become a lively city center 24 hours a day for a predicted residential population of 92,000 and a working population of approximately 310,000 people. Covering a land area of more than 330 hectares, Waterfront City comprises of a central island surrounded by four neighbouring districts - the Boulevard, Madinat Al Soor, the Resort, and the Marina.
Located on the western shores of Dubai, the entire Waterfront development will transform 1.4 billion ft² of empty desert and sea into an international community for an estimated population of 1.5 million people that is twice the size of Hong Kong Island.
Matt Joyce, Nakheel Managing Director, Waterfront, said: “Waterfront City is set to form the ‘heart’ of Waterfront and the masterplan has been designed in such a way to cater not only for businesses, but for Dubai residents and visitors alike. Each of the five districts making up Waterfront City possess their own individual character and are vital for the promotion of a diverse and unified city.
“It will have a density similar to that of Manhattan, and with that in mind, commerce, retail, culture, and private accommodation will be overlapped to create a compact city center. Waterfront City will include a central park, large mosque area, and iconic landmark attractions that will enable visitors and residents to enjoy a lively global city.”
The Central Island district, a grid of five streets by five streets, is the defining element of the design of Waterfront City; it will create walkable distances between blocks, easing the flow of traffic passing through the city. To ensure maximum shading and climate control in the city, the higher building masses are concentrated on the south side also making efficient use of wind flows for cooling. To guarantee further protection from the sun each city block is lined with arcades and planted with trees.
Rem Koolhaas, Founder & Principal, the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), who were involved in the masterplanning of Waterfront City, said: “Waterfront is the largest and most ambitious urban development project to be masterplanned from scratch. We were tasked with creating a central business district that not only competes on a global scale, but that acts as the center for a new, to be developed, city.
All of the surrounding areas as well as the Central Island will be connected by a comprehensive public transport system, including Dubai’s new metro train system. Waterfront City will also have a direct link to the Al Maktoum International Airport, currently under construction and set to become Dubai’s main airport hub.

DUBAI, June 9 (Reuters) - Strong gold prices are unlikely to put the brakes on imports of the precious metal into Dubai, despite a recent fall in purchases by the Gulf Arab emirate known as "the City of Gold", industry executives say.
Gold's surge to multi-year highs earlier this year scared buyers in many parts of the world and pulled down Dubai's first-quarter imports by 7.6 percent to 122 tonnes.
Last year, gold imports reached 559 tonnes on investors' appetite for the metal, while exports hit 287 tonnes. Dubai, the Gulf's commercial hub, has the highest concentration of jewellery shops in the world, generating trade worth $35 billion last year -- 20 percent of the $173 billion total global jewellery trade.
"Dubai will finish this year with the same level of gold imports we have seen last year regardless of the high volatile prices," said Moaz Barakat, managing director of the World Gold Council in the Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan.
"Imports are not directly related to price only. You have other factors like exports and industry demand," he said.
Spot gold powered to a record of $1,030.80 an ounce on March 17 on record-high crude oil, fears of inflation and expectations of more rate cuts in the United States, making the metal more attractive as an alternative investment.
Gold has since fallen, but rose to a high of $900.30 an ounce on Friday on record oil prices and a dollar drop after data showed a sharp rise in U.S. unemployment and as equity markets slipped on worries about economic growth. SOUKS AND MALLS "On the jewellery side, buyers tend to adjust to prices quicker in this region, and on the investment side, when there is a bullish sentiment, you get investors pouring money into gold," said Tawhid Abdullah, manager directorof the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group.
"We are also seeing higher export demand from other regional markets, so I think we will comfortably see higher import figures this year," he told Reuters.
Dubai's gold and jewellery trade is fuelled by demand from the Arab world and India, the world's number one gold market.
Gold trade through Dubai reached $7 billion in the first quarter, up 71.5 percent from the same period a year earlier, while exports surged 74.2 percent to 115 tonnes, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) said in May.
Tax-free jewellery in the gold souks and shopping malls in the United Arab Emirates -- the seven-member federation that includes Dubai -- draws Gulf Arab and Western tourists.
Drops in sales volume of gold jewellery and bullion imports earlier this year have deepened anxieties among traders that the emirate may lose its lustre as a regional gold hub.
Traders fear high and volatile prices could scare off gold jewellery buyers in Dubai, but analysts say a growing number of Western tourists will drive demand for the yellow metal higher.
"More than 60 percent of gold purchases in Dubai is done by the tourists and (as) their number rises, it is likely that demand and gold imports would surge higher," said Pradeep Unni, analyst at Vision Commodities Services in Dubai.
"In the coming weeks the city will also sees more expatriates going on summer vacations and gold gifts are generally seen as a must before the travel," Unni said.
