We have learned details of what happened just moment after the crash.
A
witness tells us he heard a loud crash around 245 AM, then the sound of
Shia's truck rolling over. The witness said he heard what he thought
was a girl screaming "F**k," among other things.
When he got
down to scene, Shia was already out of the car and the female riding
with him was crawling out of the drivers side of the truck. The truck
was smoking, making noise and still running. The driver of the other
car was also out of the car by this time.

stood over by a wall while people were checking to see if everyone was
okay. The witness said unlike most of the wrecks he's seen in the
dangerous intersection, no one was cursing or yelling at each other. It
took the cops 4-5 minutes to arrive at the scene.
Two ambulances
-- along with one fire truck -- showed up, and all parties involved
walked to an ambulance unassisted. There were no breathalyzers or tests
done at the scene.

Britney Spears has rear ended a lady driving a Ford Explorer.
No injuries are reported, but the Explorer is reported to be now following the pop star back to her estate.
Witnesses say that Britney appeared to accelerate into a red light to cross an intersection but ended up driving into the car in front of her.

Life imitates art in a scene that could have been right out of Charlie's Angels!
Actress DREW BARRYMORE chased a hit and run motorist around Los Angeles after the reckless driver smashed into her car and sped off.
Barrymore was driving in West Hollywood just before 12pm (EST) on Monday (12May08) when she was rear-ended, reports TMZ.com.
But instead of pulling over to exchange insurance details, the perpetrator made off - forcing brave Barrymore to take vigilante action.
She eventually lost track of the vehicle, but she did at least commit the offending car's licence plate number to memory - and pass on the information.
Police are reportedly investigating the incident, but no arrests had been made as WENN goes to press.

Troubled star AMY WINEHOUSE is facing more heartache after her father-in-law was seriously injured in a bicycle crash.
The singer, 24, and her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil are both said to be "deeply shocked and upset" after hearing of the accident.
Lance Fielder, 67, was racing his bicycle during circuit training near his home in Leicestershire, England, when he crashed his bike and flew over its handlebars. He then spent three hours lying unnoticed in a ditch, according to British reports.
After he was eventually spotted, Fielder was air-lifted to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, England, where he underwent emergency surgery on for a spinal injury. Medics fear he may be paralysed.
Fielder's wife Jane, a nurse, says, "At the moment, he's paralysed but it is too early to say if he will be permanently paralysed. I was really worried.
After calling the police I went out looking for him. By sheer fluke a lady in a tractor had seen his bicycle and spotted him lying in a ditch."
Fielder-Civil is currently behind bars in London's Pentonville Prison after pleading not guilty to charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice after allegedly attempting to fix the outcome of a previous trial for grievous bodily harm. He will stand trial for the latest charges in June (08).

Chilean soap star CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE has been accused of running over a man at a car dealership in California.
De La Fuente - - who is currently taking a break from Dancing With The Stars following an injury -- is being sued over the incident at a Beverly Hills Porsche dealership in June last year (07).
According to the lawsuit, which is due to be filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (01May08), De La Fuente parked his car in the service department, but after blocking other customers, was asked to move it.
The lawsuit claims De La Fuente "in a huff, jumped in his Audi and without looking, hastily put his vehicle into reverse and accelerated into the Plaintiff."
Kazuo Kimura claims he was "knocked to the ground and sustained serious injuries for which surgical intervention has been recommended."
The suit claims de la Fuente "showed no remorse" and "blamed the plaintiff for standing behind his vehicle and then refused to provide his license and insurance information", reports TMZ.com
A spokesman for De La Fuente was unavailable.

Clumsy GWYNETH PALTROW has been left with permanent numbness in one of her legs after breaking her knee while making new movie IRON MAN.
The actress tried to act on through the pain, before discovering the injury needed surgery. She says, "I broke my knee - because I'm a moron and I'm always bashing into things by accident. I've broken my toes 30 times. I don't know what's wrong with me. I bashed my knee, it really hurt."
The accident even caused a bust-up with director John Favreau, who was convinced she was exaggerating her pain: "I kept exercising and running around in the movie. Then it really started to expand. In one scene I'm running away from Ironmonger - the bad Iron Man - and I said to John, 'My knee is really hurting, I don't know how many times I can do this.' He was rolling his eyes, saying 'you're fine'.
"But I went to the doctor and I had a fracture so bad they had to do surgery the next day. They put cement in there! So I felt very smug and he apologised.
"It still doesn't feel right. I had a nerve problem. My legs don't feel the same. Sometimes it happens with surgery. If I get a wax, one leg hurts more than the other."

R.E.M. frontman MICHAEL STIPE is on crutches after injuring his foot in a go-karting accident.
The rocker has been left hobbling around New York after getting his limb trapped under a kart.
He tells U.S. magazine Interview, "I was go-kart racing and I had a crash. I was pinned for several minutes under another go-kart and it screwed up my right foot. It's going to be fine, I'm sure. But man, hobbling around New York City on crutches in the snow and the rain - it's really something, let me tell you.
"People are nice until they have a few drinks, and then they just run you over. That's happened to me several times."

NATALIE PORTMAN narrowly escaped serious injury after she was thrown from the back of a horse during a vacation in Africa.
The actress was convinced she had become an equestrial expert after spending hours riding well-trained animals on the set of new movie The Other Boleyn Girl - but was given a short sharp shock when she tried to mount a horse in Kenya.
She says, "I sort of realised that the horses were really well trained because I was really galloping and got really good.
"Then we finished the movie and I went on vacation to Kenya with my family and we got on horses and they asked me, 'Can you ride?' I was like, 'Oh, yeah.' They asked, 'What can you do?' 'Oh, I gallop, I can do anything, really.' I got
on and immediately was tossed off the horse.
"Usually, they make you feel better. 'That happens,' or 'That horse is kind of wild,' but they were like, 'That has never happened before.'"

Rocker PETER GABRIEL is recovering after breaking his left leg while skiing in Switzerland.
The former Genesis star is now "learning to hobble" around his home in Wiltshire, England after starting the year (08) in hospital. Speaking on his official website, the Sledgehammer singer says, "We went away for a family holiday and I was skiing... I was with a group of friends who tend to go at some speed... so I thought I'd get my skis out.
"I hit a rock and I could feel a loud snap as I broke my leg, and then I skied down to the piste, which was a bit stupid."
Showing off his cast from his home studio, Gabriel reveals, "I've been spending a lot of time in hospital... but I think it's all been put back together."
The rocker admits he's "frustrated" by his lack of movement, adding it has been 35 years since he broke his other leg after diving from a stage in Aylesbury, England.
But it's not all pain and frustration for the hitmaker - Gabriel was named Personality Of The Year by music industry market MIDEM for his music and human rights work on Monday (28Jan08).

It's Britney and Adnan, bitch!
Britney and Adnan are back together again after a weekend that saw Adnan up in Santa Barbara for a private family funeral. Amid rumors that the couple had split over the weekend, Adnan suddenly reappeared today at Tony Taverna's Greek & Eats in Malibu after Britney showed up by herself.
Departing the restaurant, one of Britney's personal favorites, Adnan drives her to Pinkberry in Brentwood for some dessert. The two then head towards the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, but along the way are struck by a wayward motorcyclist who reportedly was driving too close to Britney's Benz in an attempt to gain a close sighting of the star.
Finally, the couple arrive at the Beverly-Wilshire, and their security force is drawn together at once to hold back the hordes of paps trying to follow the couple inside.
The two will most likely stay in for the rest of the evening, as Britney has an extremely important court hearing involving her children's custody tomorrow morning at 10 am in downtown Los Angeles.

BREAKING: Paparazzo Adnan Ghali, driving girlfriend Britney Spears, has just collided with a motorcyclist on Sunset Blvd. in West Los Angeles.
It was a minor accident, apparently caused by the motorcyclist getting too close to Britney's Benz as he sought to get a good look at the star.

Hollywood star NICOLAS CAGE nearly lost his face after a prop bomb accidentally blew up near him onset.
The actor was filming action movie Windtalkers when the explosive detonated -- and burned off his facial hair. He recalls, "My face almost melted off when a movie stunt went wrong. I was shooting Windtalkers in 2002 and there was a moment where I was going to be bombed pretty badly.
"Everything is very safe on location, but sometimes nature just takes over. The wind suddenly changed direction, I was very close to the bomb and, when it went off, all this fire shot towards my face. I could feel my eyebrows and hair
burning.
"I was completely stupefied but instinctively threw myself out of the way within a split second. If I hadn't done that my face would be very different to the one I have today."

LATEST: Hip-hop star NATE DOGG has been left paralysed down one side of his body after suffering a mild stroke over the festive season.
The Next Episode singer - real name Nathaniel Hale, the cousin of Snoop Dogg - was admitted to Pomona Valley Hospital in California last month (Dec07) following the cerebrovascular accident at his home on 20 December (07).
But the illness has resulted in the 39-year-old being unable to move the left side of his body, and he is now recovering in an occupational rehab faclity. His representative, Rod McGrew, tells MTV.com, "Time will tell everything, obviously. The doctor can only guess what the outcome will be.
"But based on situations with similar people his age, and based on his health, the prognosis is good right now." According to McGrew, Hale did not suffer any brain damage from the stroke and his vocal chords have not been affected.
McGrew also took the opportunity to hit out at people who have made fun of the supposedly relaxed 911 call, which was posted on website TMZ.com earlier this week (ends18Jan08), adding: "I'm not sure what people are tying to glean from that tape. The diagnosis is what it is, and the prognosis is what it is: He had a stroke. The media wants to create something, but I'm not sure what the point is. If you had an emergency and someone was in your presence they would call 911.
"I'm not in a situation to see who is doing what, but rather tending to (Nate) and making sure he gets back on track."

Former THE O.C. star RACHEL BILSON blames a car accident she was involved in as a teenager for her terrible memory.
The actress admits she struggles to remember anything and believes it's all down to the fact she blacked out and suffered a concussion in a head-on collision on the Pacific Coast Highway in California when she was 14. She says, "I don't have much of a memory now... and I think it's because of that accident. "Friends will say, `Remember when we were at this or that place?' and I'll have no recollection." And, if having a bad memory wasn't bad enough, Bilson also struggles to concentrate.
She tells Playboy magazine, "I don't have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) per se, but I definitely have a hard time paying attention for a long period of time. "I don't read a lot because I don't retain a lot. It's hard for me. I'm good at memorising, though. I can look at lines and remember them right before I do them." (KL/PL/MT)

Roger Avary, the screenwriter for Beowulf and Pulp Fiction, has been arrested for driving under the influence and possible manslaughter stemming from an accident last night in Ojai.
The Oscar-winning author was driving just after midnight when the accident occurred, which threw his wife from the car, struck another automobile and killed another passenger, Andreas Zini, who was visiting the couple from his native country of Italy.
Avaray is currently free on $50,000 bail.

Former KID 'N PLAY rapper CHRISTOPHER 'PLAY' MARTIN was left hospitalised on Saturday (29Dec07), when his car was struck by a vehicle whose driver had been shot by police.
Martin, best known for starring in the House Party films in the early 1990s, was driving his sports utility vehicle when he was hit by a car driven by robbery suspect Raul Riva Aldama, according to officials. Police say Aldama lost control of his car when he was shot as he drove towards a police officer. His vehicle then collided with Martin's further down
the street.
Aldama died from his gunshot wounds at the scene, while Martin and his passenger Michelle Gonzales were taken to a nearby hospital. Both had been discharged for unknown injuries by Wednesday (02Jan08).

LATEST : R&B star BRANDY NORWOOD has every reason to smile going into 2008 - the Los Angeles City Attorney has decided not to file vehicular manslaughter charges against her over a fatal car collision a year ago (30Dec07).
Brandy's car struck the vehicle of Awatef Aboudihaj, pushing it into oncoming traffic and causing her death. Website TMZ.com recently suggested Aboudihaj may have caused the accident by striking the vehicle in front of her and then slamming on her brakes before Brandy made contact with her car.
The City Attorney had until Friday (28Dec07) to press charges against Brandy. In a statement, City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says, "After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, City prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty beyond a reasonable doubt."
Brandy's lawyer Blair Berk says, "These past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion initially caused by the ill-advised and
premature press release sent out by the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the police investigation was even finished.
"Brandy continues to be mindful that she was so fortunate to be uninjured in this accident and there was a life lost that should be remembered."

During co-star Scottish actor Gerard Butler's striptease act for the movie, P.S. I Love You, a suspender snapped around and hit actress Hilary Swank full force in the face, knocker her down. The actress was forced to get four stitches on her face, as well as recover from losing a bit of blood.
